The Polenta Festival is another tradition linked to the Zerba festival, it is approaching its twentieth anniversary and attracts more and more visitors, attracted by the fact that a polenta like this, modestly, is not so easy to find, just think that each of the “ramà”, copper pots hand-beaten by the famous “magnan de turrigia” now passed to a better life, contain 45 liters of water and cook the flour for over 90 minutes. There are no digestion problems. Just as the sauce prepared with such wisdom by the ladies of Zerba on the same day deserves a mention. Various cheeses and barbecue sausages complete the side dish. In the meantime, children can safely play on the magnificent playground under the chestnut trees.
The tables are prepared on the dance floor and the distribution of the trays is by the young people of the Pro Loco. In the meantime the orchestras on duty (in Zerba the best orchestras of Emilia and beyond have alternated: Daniele Cordani, Sandrino Piva, Giliana Gilian, Emilio Zilioli and the very recent Marco, the voice of Radio “Z” and Franco Bastelli) prepare the instruments and the stage to cheer up the evening until the small hours. Without fear of denial, the Pro Loco of Zerba presents the best dance floor in the whole Trebbia Valley, for its size and environmental positioning.
